A HGV driver was servicing an aircraft when he slipped on ice and injured his shoulder.
As a result of this personal injury, he had time off work and loss of earnings.
OH Parsons represented this Unite the Union member and successfully argued the employer was negligent and responsible, as they should have ensured the area was fully gritted, especially around the area where they knew the aircraft would land.
As specialist Personal Injury (and workplace related disease) Solicitors, with over 60 years’ experience representing trade union members and private clients, we were able to successfully negotiate a settlement ‘during proceedings’ – this means that our client, who had already suffered the trauma of an accident and painful injury, did not have the further stress of having to go to court.
We successfully settled the claim for £27,500.
